Cookingdom

Cookingdom is a hypercasual simulation game by ABI Games Studio, released on March 26, 2025, and has been attracting 400K+ daily downloads according to AppMagic.

While its cooking/restaurant theme gives it broad appeal, let’s see what else is contributing to the game’s explosive growth.

Cozy Levels
The game uses 2D stylized visuals and breaks each level—centered around creating dishes, desserts, or drinks—into sequential puzzle panels, keeping the gameplay light and engaging. Additionally, rather than using a typical scrollable map for level selection, it presents levels on book pages, evoking the feel of flipping through a cozy cookbook, while adding both immersion and thematic charm.

Immersive Add-ons
Some levels include mini-story cutscenes that provide context behind the dishes, while the internet favorite Capybaras appear as recurring characters, adding charm and light narrative engagement. Additionally, upon completing a page of levels, players unlock two bonus tasks that shift from cooking to activities like cleaning or table setup, offering a refreshing break and expanding the theme into a full restaurant experience.

Simple monetization
The game is primarily monetized through ads, with the only IAP being the ad removal option. Banner ads remain visible during gameplay, while interstitial ads appear after each level. Since levels are time-based, players often run out of time or need assistance—creating natural opportunities for RV ads, which allow players to extend time, use hints, skip levels, or access locked content, all while enhancing engagement without feeling intrusive.
