Forge Master

Forge Master is an idle RPG by Lessmore, released in October 2025, and it has already scaled to $60K+ in daily IAP revenue, according to AppMagic.

Let’s break down the design choices behind Lessmore’s latest title.

Familiar Representation
The game builds on the battle foundation from Lessmore’s previous title (We Are Warriors!), combining it with idle, choice-based progression. The core loop revolves around RNG-driven gear forging and player power progression to push further through the content. While the large variety of gears could easily overwhelm players, the game mitigates this with simple, clean, intuitive UX, making systems easy to understand and progression feel approachable.

Progression Depth
The game’s progression is heavily driven by skills, pets, tech trees, and dungeon systems. Skills in particular play a crucial role: even though they can be set to activate automatically, the timing of their triggers significantly impacts combat. Poor timing can cause players to lose and restart from earlier levels, adding strategic depth to an otherwise idle experience. On top of that, the game introduces a social and competitive layer through seasonal leaderboards, PvP challenges and replays, chats and a clan system. Additionally, offline rewards and a progression pass further help to reinforce long-term player engagement.

IAP Monetization
By excluding ads entirely, the game relies solely on IAP offers. The in-game shop unlocks early, ahead of other deeper progression systems, offering gem packs and daily deals centered around dungeon keys and core progression currencies. Once all available daily deals are purchased, new offers refresh, encouraging repeat engagement. Additionally, the game offers a premium progression pass targeting highly engaged players.
