Top Tycoon

Top Tycoon is a casual coin looter game by BeheFun Games, released in March 2025 and it has scaled to $170K+ in daily IAP revenue, with consistent weekend spikes crossing $200K.

Let’s take a closer look at the design decisions driving this performance.

Familiar Onboarding
The game initially presents itself as a classic idle tycoon, with simple objectives focused on building and expanding a theme park. After a few minutes, a slot machine is introduced as a secondary system that accelerates upgrades. As players progress to higher park stages, the traditional tycoon gameplay gradually fades, eventually leaving slot spins and theme expansion as the primary progression drivers. This 4X-inspired onboarding, combined with effective creatives, works well to pull casual players into what is ultimately a coin looter experience without overwhelming them early on.

Engaging Progression
The slot machine delivers frequent dopamine hits, while park expansions provide strong visual progression, and the objective system smartly connects both loops, keeping players focused on both short and long term goals. The game also builds light narrative elements through dialogue-driven cutscenes, adding a layer of curiosity to the experience. Early sessions are highly generous with slot spins, easing players into the system. As progression continues, mechanics like auto-spins and higher bets are unlocked, while regular injections of raids, cash grabs, and bonus wins help break the monotony of idle waiting. LiveOps plays a major role, with more than 10 concurrent events running simultaneously, each designed to fast-track player progression. On top of that, team and card album systems introduce a social layer that encourages long-term retention.

IAP Monetization

The game relies heavily on IAPs, with ads mostly limited to RV ads. These RVs are primarily used to unlock bonus wheel spins or claim free gifts gated by cooldown timers. The real monetization depth comes from an extensive in-game shop offering multiple offer tiers, buy-one-get-one-free deals, seasonal sales, progression-based passes, and various powerups and boosters. This approach keeps monetization highly visible while avoiding excessive disruption to the core gameplay loop.

Genre Insights: Coin Looter
Monopoly GO! continues to dominate the coin looter genre, generating over $1B+ in IAP revenue. Top Tycoon currently ranks 6th, while another title from the same publisher, My Home My World, holds the 7th position. Looking specifically at games released this year, Top Tycoon stands out as the only title to surpass the $1M+ monthly IAP revenue mark, achieving this milestone among 62 releases with a success rate of just 1.6%.
