Cube Land

Cube Land is a sort puzzle game by Rotatelab, released in January 2026, and it has already scaled to over $100K in daily IAP revenue, according to AppMagic.

Let’s take a look at what this newest rising star in the competitive sort puzzle space is doing differently.

Strong Iteration
The game follows the shooting sort puzzle formula popularized by games like ‘This is Blast’ and ‘Pixel Flow‘, but introduces a clever twist by letting players clear an auto-rotating 3D object instead of a static target. The game also lets players rotate the object manually, allowing them to better plan their moves and optimize bench space, adding another layer of strategy for those who want an extra challenge.

Smart Progression
Levels use familiar 3D objects as targets and typically begin with only a few colors visible and some very obvious opening moves. This gets players into the action quickly, and since the levels are deterministic, players can improve with each attempt. The game also introduces boosters and new mechanics gradually, while difficulty labels and reward multipliers help set player expectations. There is also a light meta built around a journey map, similar to the one Grand Games use. Additionally, LiveOps events are introduced relatively early with more unlocking gradually to keep the experience engaging.

Hybrid Monetization
The game combines both IAA and IAP monetization. Interstitial ads begin at level 20, while RV ads appear across several placements, including level-end reward multipliers, life refills, and even some booster purchases. However, more powerful boosters remains soft-currency only purchases, while the fail offer also pushes players towards spending their coins. The game also features endless offers, ad-removal offers, a paid pass and various bundles and coin packs in the in-game shop to nudge players with different spending behaviors.

Do you think we will see another successful iteration on the shooting sort formula?
